Tim Altbaum is a necessity at an event. His style, professionalism, and performance were the highlight of our wedding. He played what we were hoping to hear and chose additional songs to flow with our style. When I had questions, he was incredibly responsive and the night of of the event, he was entirely accommodating. I planned for a long time and researched all my choices, he was the perfect choice within his industry.

Tim was an absolute pleasure to work with: co-operative, professional, supportive and great at his job. We felt totally confident in the service he would provide and he met our extremely high expectations.

I couldn't have been happier to have Tim play at our wedding. He did a perfect job and I received many compliments. He was great with myself and my fiancé, even when we were disagreeing about what we wanted to hear. I heard every song I wanted to. Even a few silly ones I requested. If I had to be critical of anything, maybe I would have liked the dinner music a tad bit louder, but that is only because I like all of my music loud...Maybe it would have not been appropriate for dinner. I would not hesitate to recommend Tim to anyone, and am already thinking of what event we could hire him for next!

This is NOT your "game show host" D.J. Tim is not only professional, but very likeable as well. He did an amazing job at our wedding. Everyone was on the dance floor all night AND people are still talking about it to this day! We would recommend him over anyone else...for sure!

After meeting you and hearing/seeing your capabilities I knew I had hired the BEST DJ and Officiant, hands down. The 15 months of planning my wedding ceremony and wedding music with you was enjoyable, easy and so much fun. You made every appointment seem like we were the only clients on your mind and like we were the most important. So thank you for making the planning so great. Then there was the big day.....which blew all my expectations away. We had the most incredible wedding, and it was large in part due to the unbelievable professionals we hired like yourself. Tim is way more than just a DJ. He helped us through the entire wedding planning process, helping us make decisions and suggesting vendors. He by far was the easiest vendor to deal with. Tim was an exceptional DJ. My father in-law plays music and he has a hard time deviating from his equipment and set up. However, Tim made it so easy for my husband and I. Tim met with my father in-law twice and helped him feel comfortable with his equipment. My father in-law loved Tim. There was a smooth transition between the musicians and Tim. The music Tim played was appropriate for everyone. I think the dance floor was packed the entire night. He spoke well to the audience but not too much. Transitions between events throughout the night were smooth. It was a pleasure working with him. I would refer him in a heartbeat. I still hear people talking about the music and how perfect the DJ was.

Tim did such an amazing job at our wedding. All of our guests (young and old), commented on how great our dj was, how awesome our music selections were and how seamless the flow of events was. We want to thank you for making our wedding day one of the best of our lives. It's hard to believe it has come and gone, but we couldn't be happier with the way that everything came together. We're so glad that you could be a part of the celebration. Finding the right DJ was one of the greater challenges for us when planning our wedding. We were looking for someone young and cutting edge, but also extremely professional and experienced. We are so glad that we found you! As an emcee, you guided our guests from one important moment to the next throughout the dinner and dancing reception. Your technical set up was perfect for the venue, and it is obvious that the music you selected was a hit as our dance floor was PACKED all night long. It was such a whirlwind night that we never got the chance to say goodbye, but we want to express to you now (from our new home in Buenos Aires!) that we deeply appreciate all that you did to make our wedding so special. When I have been to weddings in the past, people talk about the food, how lovely the bride looks and the trashy outfits worn by certain members of the congregation. Not here. Everyone was talking about the DJ. My youngest brother, a choreographer, was going on and on. Other people who I was not aware were musically inclined were all carrying on. Seems the DJ, not the panko-crusted halibut (did you get to eat by the way?) was the major hit of the evening. Oh, the bride looked very hot too.

So please allow Yenny and me (sic) to thank you for putting together such a perfect selection of sounds and words to accompany the evening. Too bad we only get married once. We'd have you again. Thank you, Tim, for the best wedding reception we have ever been to! We had so much fun, and everyone, young and old, told us how much fun they had on the dance floor and what a great DJ you were. You really knew what songs to play to keep the eclectic crowd with a wide age range on the floor all night - at first, EVERYONE was on the dance floor to the older music, and by later on the younger crowd loved the more dance music and more contemporary music as some of the older crowd left. We appreciated your professionalism all night, as well as your friendly interactions with our crowd. You really kept us to our timeline all night, and knew the best times to have an event like the cake cutting, or play one of our requested songs. You also played all of our MUST play songs, and listened on a few that we didn't want to hear, and faded those out. We also appreciated your flexibility in extending our event by a half hour and then a full hour. It really allowed us to continue celebrating and dancing with everyone. Thank you, Tim, for an amazing wedding reception, and we will always recommend you for any event!

As the 'Minister' of the ceremony it was better than we could expect and then as the DJ at the reception the transition was flawless. The flow was great and NO ONE was left out. Timing was a big thing for us and the execution was GREAT. He worked with our coordinator perfectly and the event was run professionally and smoothly.

We may be biased, but this turned out to be the best wedding ever! Tim is not only an exceptional DJ, he coordinated our wedding reception perfectly. We were surprised that the dance floor was always packed from beginning to end. Tim's music selection kept many generations of family and friends happy and dancing. Some of our single friends even mentioned they want to get married just to have Tim DJ the party! Fortunately for us, Tim came highly recommended from friends and our other vendors, and we highly recommend him for any party.

Our scores above do not fully represent the level of satisfaction we had with Tim Altbaum. With dancers ranging in years from early teens to early sixties, everyone was taking part. His ability to master the evening without being overbearing, to sense the energy of the guests, and to take charge without outwardly appearing to do so were all first-class. Moreover, his subtle yet timely management of the more formal parts of the evening (introductions, bridal dances, bouquet and garter toss) were done with a bit of structure and a lot of warmth. I recommend Tim without reservation or qualification. If you'd like to hear more, just write or call. PS: The bit with the fireworks showed planning, interest, and class!

Tim did a fantastic job at our wedding! We've gotten so many compliments on how much fun the wedding was and we attribute this all to Tim. He was courteous and helpful during the planning process, meticulous in organization, coordination, and flexibility during the wedding, and most importantly, kept the dance floor full all night long! Tim does it all, he is your overall coordinator for your event. He is friendly, cooperative, and enables you to completely relax at your event! Our guests loved him and asked for his card!

My daughter had a fabulous wedding and reception and I owe so much of that to Tim's talents as a DJ. From our first meeting with Tim, we knew he would help us pull off the perfect day. Not having a wedding coordinator I was a little concerned about some things possibly not flowing as well it should. Tim did the pre-ceremony music, ceremony music, had the mike set up for the speaker doing the reading, and mikes for the bride and groom. Without skipping a beat, it was on to cocktail hour music, dinner music and then on to party/dance time. Tim was the perfect M.C., the timing of everything was perfect and I did not have to concern myself with any of it. Everything flowed so smoothly.

It's unbelievable how many guests told us that it was the best wedding they ever went to and how great the DJ and music were. The dance floor was never empty. The groom's mother, who told me that she never dances nor do her sons, were all out there dancing. The bride's family had a good time too. 

It was such a fun, fun time, I wish we could do it again!

There were people consistently dancing at our wedding than any we have ever been to. We got compliments on how great the music was all night. In addition, Tim was very helpful prior to the wedding with figuring out an appropriate schedule and choice of songs. We would highly recommend Tim to anyone considering a DJ for their wedding.

Tim is an awesome DJ and he knows how to keep the party going. We were so pleased with the way he handled the crowd. Everyone told me they had a blast. With a sudden change of venue from outdoor to indoor at the Hotel Del, Tim was very accommodating and helpful. Throughout the planning process, he offered ideas and was very responsive to all of our questions. We envisioned an elegant but fun reception and we were very pleased with Tim's performance. Tim is an excellent DJ, he did a terrific job on our wedding. He can definitely keep a party on the dance floor. I am still almost a month later getting phone calls telling me they loved our DJ. DJ Tim was amazing! He was the one vendor I had absolute faith in. I was thrilled when we were able to book him! He was actually the only DJ we interviewed but we totally knew he was "the one" based on how he related to us and how professional he was. His response time to email is incredible! I knew the guests would love him and they totally did. He kept everybody dancing until the very end. What I especially appreciated was his quick checks prior to any events during the reception. He always made sure we were ready for what was coming. It was totally obvious that his primary objective that night was to make sure that our evening was perfect...and it so was thanks in no small part to DJ Tim! Thanks a million! You rock!

We actually chose Tim because he has become the unofficial 91X wedding DJ! Clint, from our morning show, and Robin Roth, who does middays on the station, both used Tim at their weddings, so we felt like we knew his work and both Clint and Robin highly recommended him. Also, he has good prices and we knew he wouldn't mind that we were going to be really picky about the music. Tim was always so friendly, professional, thorough and prompt about getting back to us. He played all of the music we provided for him during the cocktail hour and dinner (we were really picky: St. Germain, Groove Armada, the Scabs, Buena Vista Social Club, etc.) and then for dancing, he tore it up! Everyone was on the dance floor, and people kept saying, "I've never been to a wedding where everyone stayed until the very end!" We give Tim a lot of credit for that - it was hopping. He also handled all of the other things - our "grand entrance", the cake cutting toasting, etc. so well - we just loved his style. Not super showy and typical - he is great.

I want to take the time to tell you how delighted...and pleased I was with DJ Tim Altbaum's service and performance at my wedding reception at the Doubletree Hotel on September 2, 2000.  As a busy bride-to-be, I appreciated the fact that Tim (was) accessible to me during my wedding planning.  Tim was an excellent MC and event coordinator at our reception (by the way, my "special CD" worked out fine :) ).  He made sure we were happy, worked well with our photographer, was flexible with the agenda as needed, and played a great selection of music, including our requests as discussed prior to the wedding.

We arrived late to the reception but he had everything under control - he also "gently" reminded us of events we wanted to do in the limited time left of the reception - he helped to keep us on track.  He is very personable, helpful, easy to talk to and picked a perfect song that we needed - we explained what we were looking for and he picked a great song.

Tim did a great job for us.  He was enthusiastic about our event and willing to do anything we asked.  His relaxed style helped us be more at ease, knowing that if we had any last minute changes he could accommodate them.  He was a pleasure to work with.

Tim did a great job at mixing Latin/Persian & American dance music, and would make sure by asking us if we wanted anything in addition to what was discussed earlier.

Tim was so cooperative and caring.  He met with us twice always flexing for our schedule.  Having worked with a high number of DJ's in my past business I had reservations about his lack of experience but he excelled.  I will gladly recommend him in the future.
